On masks and creating a new reality

Judith · September 11, 2020 ·

Have you given any thought to how you created this reality we are living now, where we all wear masks?

Because you did. I did. We did.

The joy of being intuitive and living a conscious, intentional life is that we realize we are the creators of our reality. Even when the reality we are experiencing isn’t something we like.

And the power in this wisdom is that we can self-reflect and then find the hidden desire, so we can create more deliberately.

It has taken me a while to get to this point. I’ve been carried along with the stream of life; feeling alarmed, mystified, saddened, and in many ways a passive participant, if not a quiet victim to the life we are all living now – masks-required.

I’m tired of this. I’d prefer a different reality.

And when we want a new reality we have to get clear on what we want instead, and then start seeing it be birthed through the existing reality.

This is not an easy thing to do. Right? Manifesting through an unwanted or unpleasant experience is challenging. We all know it. And yet, we also know that when we hit it right, it works.

So let me tell you a new story. A story that helps me, and hopefully helps you, create a new reality.

We have a world of people wearing masks to protect themselves, and keep themselves safe. To keep others safe. We are concerned that even the breath we breathe is dangerous to our health and wellbeing.

That’s interesting, isn’t it, when I remember growing up being taught how I needed to remake myself to be accepted, to be successful, to get a good grade, to get a job.

I was taught not to be me. I was taught to behave a certain way, to say the right things, to dress a certain way. In essence, I was taught to put on a mask to survive and excel in the world.

If not, I was told I’d be rejected, ostracized, homeless, jobless, friendless. I learned that I would not be well or do well by being myself, following my joy.

This is the world I grew up in. Most of us have.

We grew up learning to wear masks. Because who we were was not enough. Because the consequences of being ourselves emotionally, psychically and physically would result in horrible things. Truly our reptilian brain would equate those feelings with a danger equal to death.

Now we are living in a world where we physically wear masks. Because the consequences of simply being(breathing) could result in horrible things.

In this way, I can see how I created this reality.

I didn’t want to not be me, and I found every way I could to push against the collective expectation. Even so, I still put on a mask to be something more acceptable, even with my own ways of rebellion. Because being all of me was dangerous – to myself and others.

We are here not because of a virus. Saying so distances us from our power, and it makes us a victim.

We are powerful creators, with a limited time on this planet to express the full potential of our heart, joy and creativity.

Here’s the gift of manifesting this current “life-with-a-physical-mask” reality.

We are being forced to know who. we. really. are.

To know our own truth, because the external world is not in agreement.

To know how we want to live our life, because the way we used to live has spun into something we never envisioned possible.

To know what matters to us – a free life, a safe life, a connected life, a life of wellbeing. For people and the planet.

To know how to be ourselves, to know what matters and still honor our neighbor.

To know that our bodies are strong, that our immune system works as much as we support it, and to know we can create the means to help when it’s needed.

To know that we are creative beings, and we flourish in the ever-changing landscape of Earth.

We are slowly and deliberately, individually and collectively, figuring all of this out.

How we want schools to work. How we want our supporting institutions (governments) to serve us. How we want workplaces to respect us and consider the actual realities of working and raising a family.

We are realizing, individually and within institutions like governments and corporations, that what we once believed, in so many areas, was not true.

Each of us, as we are, are strong, resilient, creative beings seeking the freedom to be ourselves, and express ourselves into the world to make it a better place.

This moment in time is giving us, globally, the opportunity reclaim that knowing.

Take a look and you’ll see…

Strangers wearing a mask to make sure their neighbor is safe, just in case they have a compromised immune system.

Schools (educational institutions) creating options to respond to the wide variety of options requested by parents.

Businesses modifying their practices and policies to continue to provide services, and employ people.

Workplaces adjusting expectations to meet the needs of parents at home with kids.

It’s not perfect. No.

But there is beauty blooming. There is creativity expressing. There is consideration being extended. There are more people well than are not. There is care of our neighbor because we are all in this together.

Things that seemed impossible, both bad and good, are showing themselves as possible.

This is what I want more of. Expanded possibilities that support us in allowing everyone to BE the creative, loving, healthy, safe, joyous expression of who they are.

The physical masks will come off someday. Will yours?

How to navigate the first-quarter 2020 energy for your business

Judith · January 16, 2020 ·

Has the entry to the 2020 year felt intense to you? It has for me.

This last weekend felt a bit like a dam broke and the current is flowing super strong, almost like there’s all this energy backed up that just needs to flood out. It can feel a bit overwhelming, like it’s hard to gain balance and control.

I was so happy to have a few days as the new year opened to feel into the energy of 2020 and I’m really liking it. (If you’d like to watch, here’s the video I made on this topic.)

Here’s what I’m feeling:

2020 is all about creating stability.
Think of the 4 legs on a chair. That kind of stability. Maybe it will look like foundations for you. Or maybe it will be about structure through rhythm or regularity.

The energy is really, really smooth.
And it has a constancy to it. Last year was a creative energy so the feeling was more about ups and downs and swirls. This year’s energy’s more like a steady stream that may have areas where it rushes hard but generally will flow steadily.

First-quarter 2020 feels like it’s game on for creating deliberately with 5D-higher consciousness energy.
If you aren’t familiar with 5D, just think of it as a time of creating with feelings as opposed to actions. Also, outcomes will happen faster – both desirable and undesirable. Of course we have to take action, but it’s going to be much more obvious to us this year the way our creations are a product of our feelings.

First-quarter 2020 is ‘waiting’ for you to set the stage before it reveals what’s in store for the rest of the year.
As I was putting plans in place for myself and my clients, I really wasn’t able to feel past April. The energy didn’t vanish so much as feel unavailable. To me, that means that setting our intent and backing it with even the smallest of actions is pivotal. Very literally, what you intend is forming the constellation of possibilities that will show up come April.

Even if you aren’t a gardener, think of your business as a garden. Consider its shape and what seeds you want to plant before the Spring Equinox. You have some time to reflect on what you want. You have some time to begin practicing actions that honor you and the wants you have.

Seeds in your business can be as simple as putting a date on the calendar for when you will offer a program and setting a tentative price. Or it can be sending an email to 10 past clients to invite them to some dream project you’ve been stalling on – even if you don’t have all of the details yet for the program. Or it can be committing to a schedule – like every new moon – you make a video or send a message to your list. Or it can be updating your backend systems.

The point is that what you do does not need tons of planning, or thought, or doing. It’s a simple thing that aligns with your desire and feels good.

Here’s a good question to ask yourself as you sort through which action to take: On March 19, when the equinox energies come in, what will I wish I had started on?

May you have a blessed 2020!

On spiritual teachers and the discomfort of business

Judith · December 5, 2019 ·

In my last post I spoke about giving yourself permission. Permission to do things the way you want to do them. Permission to create outside the norms.

And every lightworker and spiritual teacher I’ve met is really good at doing this, except when it comes to their business.

I most often hear how the business part of your work is the most uncomfortable, most unaligned and most unclear part of your life.

This is completely understandable. In fact, it makes complete sense.

You cannot be the embodiment of your teaching – love, one-ness, compassion, unity – AND do business as we see around us, or as we are taught is the ‘right’ way. Because the majority of current business practices and teachings leverage scarcity and treat the consumer as someone to be gamed.

You cannot teach your people that they are whole and powerful beings and then do as we are taught to do to market our programs by speaking to someone’s pain or lack or brokenness to encourage them to buy or join.

The reason you cannot do this is because it is incongruent to your embodiment – incongruent, and unaligned to what you are teaching and who you are being.

What you can do in your business is to speak to your invitation.

You can embody the teaching you have within you AND the human who wobbles, and share that. The certainty and the uncertainty, the knowing and the developing.

You can share the possibilities of what can be found through your work when someone shows up with you.

You can paint a picture of the journey.

You can trust and believe that the people who need what you have will find you and will know what is best for them.

And most of all, you can trust in the power of your message and in the power of your inner being to call-in and bring forth your people.

They are already seeking you.

Trust that they will find you. And in the meantime, do the business of your work in alignment with what brings you joy.

Because that’s the only way, isn’t it?

It’s okay to start when you’re unclear

Judith · November 5, 2019 ·

Each time I begin working with a new client I’m reminded that clarity is a process. And a moving target.

It’s a journey to find your way toward any desire, including clarity.

Let’s say you want clear offers, pricing and niche for your business.

It’s so comforting to think you can think your way through to clarity.

But clarity is a feeling. It’s this unique cocktail of confidence and certainty and ease and a few other things unique to you.

The only consistent way I’ve found or reached clarity is through lived experience.

So to reach the place of clear offers, pricing and niche – you start. You start with where you are and what you want so you can have experiences that bring you closer to feeling clarity. It’ll arrive and settle in and you’ll soar.

And then over time what happens is that beautiful offer that felt so clear stops feeling good.

So you then go back through a new process of Starting so you can experience your way to new clarity.

This is the natural process of life. We don’t arrive. We evolve.

I’m just coming back around and through this exact cycle – only to find that where I started is where I want to be.

Except the feelings have shifted into a more solid knowing.

My core work is all about helping women grow their business in ease. That has been clear for a long while. But other pieces within that have felt slippery and unstable. Unclear.

But I started. And each new client and each new conversation revealed a new piece. As did the living of life; my own inner work has brought me closer.

Yesterday a piece shook itself out and as I look at it now I wonder why it didn’t feel clear before.

“I work with spiritual leaders and teachers. Both emerging – or as I prefer to say ‘rising’ – and lifetimers who’ve been on the path for a decade or more.”

That statement right there seems so natural and right, almost obvious, but it has never felt as clear and solid to me as it does now. For those of you who know me well, you’re probably thinking ‘of course.’

Nothing really changes with that clarity. My offers and how I work and what I do stay the same.

But the feeling within me is clear, and that changes everything.

This has been a journey for me. One that required me to grow my own gifts. One that felt almost continually unclear.

So I just want to remind you – it’s okay to start and walk for a good long while – and feel unclear.

There is nothing wrong.

There’s nothing you need to do to fix the unclarity.

Just allow yourself to find the easiest, best feeling choices and the clarity will arrive.

And when it does, everything will very likely be in place just like you wanted when you started the journey way back then.

What the October energies are bringing us

Judith · October 15, 2019 ·

There’s something about this time of year that draws me in – into myself for reflection and contemplation – in a way that spring and summer don’t.

The cooling temps and the full-settled-in of kids at school. But also the faster-seeming slide toward the end of the year.

This year there’s more to it.

Astrology has given me a bit of a clue as to the nature of what feels like such a clearly different tone to the energy.

I’m feeling an unexpected increase in anticipation and excitement. I’m looking forward to the digging around in what is, and casting off and clearing out what isn’t in alignment.

It’s a feeling of getting ready for an adventure. You know, that feeling of getting ready for a big vacation to a new place? Planning for the new clothes or shoes and clearing responsibilities off the list.

This is so much more than normal, fall season, end-of-year clearing and reflection. There is that too. Only if this time were a tidal pull it would be three times stronger.

We are experiencing the first waves of truly sustained transformational change at foundational and systemic levels like we haven’t felt before. This is life-altering, society re-making change.

If you’ve been on the graduate level self-awareness journey for the last 10-15 years you may be wondering whether it will be more of what was. Because those years were hard – I know, but this is different.

You are ready for this new wave of energy. In fact, it’s what you were preparing for.

Over the next year, it’s your time – and mine – to get comfortable with the speed of the energy. It’s time to get really good at feeling good. It’s time to get really good at allowing what you do want in your life.

Unlearn your habits of putting your wants second, of dwelling on the past, and of making choices aimed at minimizing (or avoiding) fear.

I say this because you have been the one holding the energy to support the full influx of ascension energies. You have been the one making the way for this time.

And because of that, you are now the one who will show others how to live in the transformation, even as you discover how in the living of it.

The change that the planet Pluto brings us will go on for the rest of our lives. And we’ve been getting ready for it. I know we’ve also been getting ourselves ready to support and show the way for others who are waking up now. (And if you’d like support getting your business up to speed for this, that’s what I do in this engagement.)

Here’s what I encourage you to do right now:

Use the rest of the month for what we’ve been given with this Mercury Retrograde.

  • Finish up leftover things.
  • Consider projects and activities that have been stewing or on auto-pilot. Design and redesign them or begin to transition them out.
  • Put things in place as supports or reserves.
  • Spend some time getting clear on what you’re going to add into your life in the form of more play.

Mercury Retrograde will be supporting you in all of this so use it.

And then get ready for the solstice. Mark that day as the beginning of your new year. I have the feeling that it really will be.
